Driving The Richardson Highway in a Camper Van

The Alaska Range, Richardson highway AlaskaThe Richardson Highway leads into Fairbanks. When you’re out driving in your camper van from Northwest Van Campers, you’ll be in for an incredible sight: The Alaska Range. These incredible peaks include the legendary Denali, also known as Mount McKinley. The views out here are just breathtaking. It really makes the drive out to Fairbanks worthwhile.

Keep an eye out along the road as you drive. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to find a turn-out and photograph some wildlife out grazing near the road. Caribou and Moose are not uncommon in this area. Please pull your camper van over before taking pictures. Snapping photos with your phone while you drive is dangerous and leads to lousy pictures.
